THE ZTAR RIFLE

Cal. 5.56 NATO
ABSOLUTE INNOVATION

OMEGA ARMS RESEARCH Patented Strictly Confidential Information

The modular construction and the design noticeably facilitate the manufacturing and the field
maintenance with the implicit cost manufacturing savings. The interchangeability with some
existing important M16 parts significantly eases the massive production when necessary.

ZTAR is up scaleable to larger calibers without affecting its style or attributes.

An adaptable multi-role rifle platform for hunting, tactical, military, law enforcement, sport applications or market demands.

The ZTAR rifle platform is conceived to be the foundation for multiple applications Presently under development.

The BPZ Cal. 5.56 is 25.6 ‘ long , 16.5’ barrel. 65% of the gun is barrel. Compact, portable POWER. The Perfect PDW Uses the ZTAR Platform, Only 7 different parts. May use longer Barrels.

Uncomplicated, yet refined and rugged.

Unprecedented Innovation combined with functional elegance.

The ZTAR accepts M16 type magazines of all sizes. 5 to 30 rounds.

Uses M-16 barrels

The ZTAR -1 Rifle Platform

Summary

The ZTAR Rifle Platform is based in the entirely innovative Z Force Technology. A completely novel approach in weapons operation. The first developed application of the Z Force Articulated Bolt was the Assault Rifle ZAR-1. Now ZTAR -1 becomes heir of this family of weapons carrying all the distinctive advantageous characteristics of this class of arms. OAR has designed, refined, and produced a working prototype of the ZTAR 1 in Cal.5.56 NATO for civilian and military use. It is a truly innovative concept. It merges the proprietary Z Force Articulated Bolt Train with what Omega Arms Research considers to be the best features of the most successful weapon platforms into a unique, totally innovative integrated design.

ZTAR is a transmutation of the finest attributes of the best rifles in one, plus the exceptional advantages of the Z Force Technology. It is inspired in the venerable M16. It uses and preserves some well proven parts, arrays and internal geometry and dimensions; the barrel, the barrel extension, the front of the rotary lock, the bolt cam, the magazines, the magazine catch, the ejector and the extractor; assuring that the feeding, the ejection, and the ballistic characteristics of the, so well proven, M16 are preserved.

Everything else is different from top to bottom.

The receiver, the internal tracking that enables the transverse recoil through the handle, the take down system, the quick barrel attachment, and locking system, the bolt, the bolt carrier, the firing mechanism,(now movable), the recoil damper mechanism, the strong, small, modular trigger sub assembly, a Fine – Tune Trigger, the adjustable gas operating system, now with short stroke floating bar, the frontal non reciprocating charging handle and bar, the variable gas regulating block, the safety lever, the stocks attachment system, now capable of accepting folding stocks or none.
The ZTAR 1 keeps all what is remarkable of the M16, fixes what was detrimental like the gas impingement system, source of heat, dirt and malfunctioning, and above all, by incorporating the proprietary Z Force Articulated Bolt mechanism Technology, improves the recoil management and shooting stability to levels not seen before, due to the substantial lowering of the center of gravity, and the partial redirection of the recoil force, and introduces the frontal, ambidextrous, non reciprocating Charging Handle. All of the above contained in an ergonomic, classic shape. ZTAR 1 is built with the same materials of the M16, but lends to the use of polymers and lighter materials, and faster manufacturing processes.

Z Force Articulated Bolt Train Technology

The ZTAR makes use of the Z Force Articulated Bolt Train Technology recoiling through the handle; the same technology applied in the ZAR 1 Assault Rifle. ZAR 1 schematic view shown with the optional folding stock

The firing mechanism housing carriage is track mounted and slides through the upper and lower receiver. Recoils through the handle. The low placement of the all the heavy elements close to the handle, lowers the center of gravity and generates compactness and a unique characteristic of gun control and recoil management

The floating Z Force Bolt Train drops inside the Lower receiver with unmatched simplicity.

The modular Trigger Group works in coordination with the independent Firing mechanism housed inside the Articulated Bolt Train.
